BHM’s engineers undertake environmental validation and clearance, after previously contaminated land has been remediated. BHM’s environmental engineers will also validate the contamination of the soil and provide a validation assessment to prove the land is now clear of any hazardous environmental risks.
Contaminated site validation assessments are the last step to remediate contaminated land. It starts with a Phase 1 Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI) to confirm the likelihood of contamination. Then, engineers analyze the extent of contamination in the Phase 2 Detailed Site Investigation (DSI). During Phase 2 investigation, they test all the collected samples for contaminants in accordance with prescribed guidelines. If the site is found to have contaminates exceeding the prescribed limits within the guidelines for proposed development, Remediation Action Plan is then required. The validation phase ensures that all the environmental risks present on site have been adequately addressed in accordance with the remedial action plan.
