I miss it when i am not trekking, and i feel like going there every weekend. Its just pristine. Also, words would be inadequate even to explain it. Our journey starts with boarding into the night local train from CSMT till Kasara. We decide the compartment to meet while travelling. Whatsapp group is created with all participants before the trek starts the notifications are going crazy. Trekkers have many questions and sometimes miss the train. Guiding them is critical; it helps them enjoy the trek and makes it easier for me to conduct the trek. Gathering participants at Kasara is something a fun task to interact with the trekkers.

Bari Village

We head to the Bari Village in the jeeps from Kasara Railway Station. The ride is always memorable, and the cold air makes you sleepy. You can spot wildlife along the way like Hyena, Fox, Mongoose, Snakes and more on your drive till Bari Village. While some participants are enjoying singing songs, others take a snooze to energize themselves. When the whole trekking group is cooperative adequately, The vibe feels like you're ready to lead a group, and it will be a smooth sail for all. Finally, we arrive at Bari village for Kalsubai Shikhar trek.

Morning Tea and Parle G

After having few sips of hot tea and giving few instructions regarding the trek in cold, windy night, we all started the trek. Hiking every time with the new trekkers who have different aspects of observing nature is when my vibe matches with them accordingly. I have become good friends with locals, meeting them each weekend, and sharing stories with them, learning about their lives. Now i feel they are part of my extended family and i look forward to meeting them while trekking every time. Bari Village people take good care of trekkers on the slope they manage their food and water requirement. They also come for search and rescue during accidents or when people get lost on the mountain.
