4. Chinchoti Waterfalls, Naigaon

Chinchoti Waterfall is a top-rated destination on weekends among the population of the western suburbs. It is a relatively easy trek, around 45 minutes to reach the beautiful waterfall.

It is located inside a dense forest with many deep pools upto 16 feet or more. It is also prone to flash floods. 6. Solanpada Dam, Jambrung Karjat

Solanpada Dam is the perfect place to explore. It's not too far from Mumbai, and it has a fantastic view of waterfalls and mountains. There are many different levels so you can enjoy the scenery at your own pace.

Police put up barricades and banner to avoid weekend revellers from entering the various levels of the Dam. Section 144 is regularly imposed here to avoid large crowds. Many weekend tourists have lost their lives due to drowning swimming in the deep pools. Massive numbers of public visit the Dam on the weekend, making it difficult for the police.

  2. Avoid booking with third-party apps and booking websites unaware of the actual situation on the ground and won't suggest a better destination. Instead, always book with self-operated trekking groups and support them. 
  3. Speak with your friends and colleagues who have been on the same trek during the rainy season to check their experience. 
  4. Use hashtags to search for recent photos and learn about the crowds and location information. 
  5. Read blogs and watch youtube videos. It will help you understand the geography of a region and the trek route.
